I don’t understand how the Riviera weighs more.
Pre-emptive: That Nova has been sitting there for four years without being started. It’s the guy’s dad’s car and supposed to be a father-son project that they haven’t done shit on.

The Riv is 7" longer and probably has a big ol supercharger and beefed up components to cope with the weight and torque.

Glad you mentioned the nova, was going to ask. Maybe just switch it with something else red, and maybe it will go unnoticed.

I think he said in another post that it was the year after this that the Supercharged Riviera came out.

You should paint the roof an pillars of the Riviera black.

Nope. Can't be. The 1995-99 Riviera was always available with the supercharged 3800. Every year. For 1998-99 it was standard.

Pillarless Coupes are usually heavier than their sedan counterpart (w140 coupe as example). With the lack of a b pillar and a sunroof creating a hole in the roof, a coupe needs to make for the lost chassis stiffness. That’s made up by reinforced floor pans or heavier a and d pillars. So the reinforcements increase the weight without looking like it.

No I need more landfills and an industry that generates smoke and noise.

1/2 inch plate steel. That’s why the Riv is so heavy. It must be.

The riviera isn't a pillar less coupe though. It just looks like one.
